“Today’s arrests are a result of an extraordinary and professional work carried out by the Democratic Party at the Parliamentary Inquiry Commission, but this is not enough”.

These were the words used by former DP leader Lulzim Basha in a status shared on Twitter on Tuesday.

His comments are in regards to the arrest warrants issued by SPAK over faulty procedures with the Tirana and Fier waste incinerator plants.

Basha emphasized that the commission shed light on the main people behind this affair.

“Not a single Albanian would believe that such a large-scaled corruptive affair happened without Edi Rama’s knowledge. His government is corrupted. There can be no welfare for the Albanian people with these people”, he added.

This is the first time Basha reacts in public after he quit as party leader.
