A group of citizens marched on Tuesday across the capital’s main boulevard to protest against increased prices.

This is the ninth protest that takes place in front of the Prime Minister’s Office.

As prices started going up, thousands of citizens flocked to Tirana to make their voices heard over unbearably high food prices.

Prime Minister Edi Rama has previously called protesters ‘a chaos-seeking minority’, claiming that they do not represent the will of the people.

After several days of protest, the Albanian prime minister introduced the so-called ‘social resistance package’, in order to diminish the impact of the crisis.
