Prime Minister Edi Rama declared on Wednesday that all citizens are equal before the law, regardless of their status.

His statement to the media came shortly after Socialist MP Alqi Bllako resigned his seat in parliament over an arrest warrant issued by SPAK.

Rama said that this case proves that the justice reform is ‘yielding results’, following a Socialist Party presidency meeting this afternoon.

‘I don’t speak about the dead’

Edi Rama dodged a question from Euronews Albania on whether he would be willing to cooperate with Sali Berisha if he takes over the leadership of the Democratic Party.

“I am talking about the living, you are talking about the dead,” said the prime minister.
