The head of the United Albanians Coalition, Shaip Kamberi, invited citizens on Sunday to vote in order to elect at least three Albanian MPs in the Serbian Parliament.

After voting from the village of Tërnoc in Bujanoc, Kamberi said that the political battle for the rights of Albanians in the Valley must continue, reported KosovaPress.

“We must turn up at the polls today to maintain the level of representation, the minimum would be three MPs. Another important thing is the continuation of the political struggle for the rights of Albanians in the Presevo Valley, which are being denied to us by all governments in a row. I do not believe that the government will become more democratic unless the geopolitical circumstances that are being created will affect the EU integration process,” he said.

“Unfortunately, none of the presidential nominees offered anything to minorities, especially for Albanians”, Kamberi added.

The two Albanian parties are competing in the elections with a total of 20 candidates.
