59% of respondents (303,018) think that Albania benefits from the Open Balkan, according to the findings of the government survey National Counselling.
The figures were revealed on Thursday by the survey’s director during a press conference with the prime minister.
She said that 26% of the respondents believed the initiative does not bring any benefits to Albania, while 15% did not answer.
PM Rama reiterated that the regional initiative ‘protects Albania’s national interest, not Serbia’s’.
“Open Balkan doesn’t protect Serbia’s interests, but ours”, Rama said.
Rama emphasized that Serbia will always remain our neighbor, so it is essential to have good relations.
According to him, Kosovo could also make its own gains from the initiative, but added that he does not want to ‘give uncalled for advices’.
