The Congress of the Socialist Party convened on Saturday at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana.
Five panels are set to discuss on
- Agriculture and food security;
- Energy, transport, and the environment;
- Health, social security, and employment;
- Security, the region, and Europe;
- Youth and Innovation
Foreign affairs minister Olta Xhacka said in her speech that the main priority remains the abolishment of the visa regime in Kosovo, and increasing the number of states that recognize the independence of Kosovo.
“It is our priority at the UN Security Council”, Xhacka said.
Finance minister Delina Ibrahimaj said that the government is working on getting tougher sanctions against employers who dodge the declaration of their employer’s salaries.
Heath minister Ogerta Manastirliu said relevant authorities are working on eradicating abusive practices in the health sector.
Manastirliu added that the implementation of hospital autonomy will serve as a “new model for the management and funding, where staff will get paid based on their performance”.
