Prime Minister Edi Rama declared from the Congress of the Socialist Party on Friday that although justice ‘might be late or reluctant’ it still is yielding results.

PM Rama hinted at the prosecution of former deputy interior minister Rovena Vodo, who was sentenced to 10 months in prison for accepting a bribe.

“Meanwhile it convicted a high state official for an unkept job promise over a crate of fish, but I will talk a little bit later about that”, Rama said.

He said that the difference between one government and another is the decisions they take, their actual performance, and also the taxes collected.

“50,000 Albanian families that were poor, are stronger today”, said the head of the executive.

The Congress of the Socialist Party convened on Saturday with 1,007 delegates attending the session.

5 open panels are set to discuss various key areas.

Several amendments are also expected, including the suspension of the mandate of branch leaders.
