The government of North Macedonia decided on Tuesday to lift travel restrictions.

Euronews Albania correspondent in Skopje, Ferikan Iljazi reports that the decision comes after daily COVID-19 cases dropped to 100-130.

On the other hand, the government failed to reach an agreement with employees from various sectors amid demands for higher wages.

As a result, the Confederation of Free Trade Unions has warned of protests.

Iljazi said that the education union refused a government offer for a 10% increase. Instead, they are asking for 18%.

Their strike has entered its seventh day and they warn of protests every day if demands are not met.
