Thousands of Muslim believers have offered their Eid-al-Fitr prayers this morning at Skanderbeg square.

Once again, this year, prayers were held at the main square because work on the Mosque of Namazgja has yet to wrap up.

This holiday is considered to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, during which believers fast from dawn to dusk.

Head of the Albanian Muslim Community, Bujar Spahiu, congratulated all believers and asked them to be considerate of those in need, give charity and call for an end to world conflicts and a return to peace.
