Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani met during her visit to Costa Rica the Under Secretary for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights, Uzra Zeia.
Osmani and Zeia spoke about Kosovo’s progress in fulfilling the commitments in line with the Summit for Democracy, as well as intensifying bilateral cooperation.

They also spoke about establishing the Council for Democracy and Human Rights, as proof of the commitment of the institutions of Kosovo to strengthen the rule of law, democracy, the role of women in society, advancing human rights and freedoms as well as cooperation between civil society and the media.
Osmani emphasized that Kosovo is on the same line as its allies in protecting democratic values.
“At this time when democracies from all over the world are directly undermined by growing authoritarian tendencies, the Summit for Democracy is the platform that united countries from all four parts of the globe in their efforts to consolidate democratic values”, Osmani said.
