The former member of the Kosovo Liberation Army Salih Mustafa decided not to give an affidavit at the end of the trial, nor to answer the questions of the trial panel.
This was confirmed by the head of the trial panel Mappie Veldt-Foglia who had planned to ask Mustafa over events that took place in April 1999, reported local media KosovaPRess.
Although Mustafa was initially willing to take the stand, later on, he told his defense counsel that he had changed his mind.
13 witnesses gave their testimony throughout the trial, many are under the protection of the Specialist Chambers.
Meanwhile, the defense counsel has brought 15 witnesses to the stand.
Salih Mustafa has claimed innocence since the beginning of his trial, on charges related to war crimes.
