The former coach of the Albanian National Team Gianni De Biasi referred to the organization of the UEFA Conference League final match as a “major success” for the Albanian Football Association, as well as the Albanian government.

In an interview for “Today” airing daily on Euronews Albania, the former coach said the re-election of Armand Duka is a positive development.

According to him, Duka has shown good qualities as the President of the Football Association bringing visible results, he said, referring to the recent decision to hold the Conference League final in the Albanian capital.

“The Albanian Football Association must remain outside of the politics. The results are right in front of everybody’s eyes, in the new stadium in Tirana, Shkodra, and Elbasan”, Duka said.

“At the end of the day, whoever has the most votes wins, and people must be judged based on their results. Everybody can see how important Albania is today in the football world”
