During today’s meeting of the Council of Ministers, the minister of education, Evis Kushi declared that the minimum average for high school students to apply to university went from 7.5 to 6.5.
In a press statement from the PM’s Office, Kushi said that this decision is only valid for certain degrees like foreign languages, biochemistry, math, and physics.
“Today’s decision gives high school graduates the possibility of finishing their studies with a 6.5 average to enter into university programs at the bachelor level,” – said Kushi.
The minister also stated that today’s decision came as a result of concerns expressed by universities regards the low number of student applicants.
