Rinas Police have confiscated several suspicious devices from 2 British women, who were trying to leave Albania from Rinas Airport.
The two British citizens are engineers by profession and they had stayed in Albania for several days after trying to leave the border today with what seemed to like several spying devices.
When caught by authorities, they declared that these devices were radio transmitters and didn’t serve any spying purposes.
The police let the Brits free but withheld their devices after sending them to Tirana’s District Prosecution, followed by the State Police Scientific Laboratory, where they are being screened for further testing.
In recent years, several similar devices have been confiscated in Albania, after suspicions that they are used for spying purposes.
