DP leader Sali Berisha has called for the immediate resignation of the members of the Transparency Board – tasked with periodically fixing oil prices due to fluctuations in the global market.
In a press conference held this Friday, Berisha asked for the urgent interruption of this board’s activities and appealed to its members to not allow themselves to turn into ‘anti-constitutional tools’.
“Neither Albania nor any free country should have boards which control the market on behalf of the government. Citizens are left with paying the price for these corrupt government bodies, which are set up with the only goal of dictating overwhelmingly high prices and stealing as much as possible on the behalf of the government and its clientele,” – said Berisha.
Moreover, Berisha continued by calling the current administration a criminal organization, while making note of the resolution for the recognition of Serbia’s genocide.
According to Berisha, the refusal by the current administration, of this resolution proposed by the opposition, is not only a ‘macabre act but it also acts as the second execution of over 10 thousand children, women, and men who were massacred back in 1998-1999’.
