“I hope Bajram Begaj is not a minister without a portfolio of the Rama government”.
This was the statement of the leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI), Monika Kryemadhi, as she was entering the Assembly to attend the plenum that will determine the new Albanian President.
She said that SMI will vote against Begaj as the process for the selection of the president was not consensual.
“The stance of the SMI is a political one. The entire process should have been consensual and represented political parties. SMI will vote against”, said Kryemadhi.
“I have my reservations about the dictatorship that Rama is installing in the country. I hope he [Begaj] is not a minister without a portfolio of the Rama government”.
