Korca has lightened up this weekend from all the multicolored masks and dresses accompanying the city’s annual carnival.
The 15th edition of these Carnivals brought fun and joy to locals and tourists visiting from other cities and even other countries only to be present in the event.
“I chose the clown as my costume because I really like it. The carnivals are a traditional festivity for residents of Korca which is celebrated each year.” – said one of the children that were present.
This year, there were even participants that came in from Serbia.
“It is the first time for me. It’s beautiful here. We’re from Serbia and we represent hope. I invite everyone to come to Korca for vacation because it is amazing here,” – said a young woman from Serbia.
Celebrations began this Saturday morning with performances along each of the city’s streets and boulevards which culminated with the grand parade at Korca’s Old Bazaar.
