Korca will soon have two photovoltaic parks and the investment will be entirely private.
The announcement made by Infrastructure and Energy Minister Belinda Balluku came after a Council of Ministers meeting on Thursday morning.
“We approved today the construction of two photovoltaic parks in the district of Korca, each powered by 20 megawatts per hour. There will be no financial support by the state, it’s an entirely private investment”, minister Balluku stated.
Balluku says the investment comes at a difficult time when it comes to electrical power.
She emphasized that Albania will get 2% of the energy produced by the parks.
