If you wanted to get information from a public institution, in most cases the number posted on their page is out of service.

We tried to call the numbers posted on several of the most sought-out pages by citizens who need help with something or a specific service.

OSHEE’s number for example is out of service.

No data on a phone number appears on the ministry of education’s official webpage.

On the ministry of health’s page, 2 out of 3 numbers don’t pick up, whereas the other is out of service.

ISHP is yet another institution whose number we called but even in this case the answering machine said the same thing: “this number doesn’t exist”.

Even though we tried several times, we were out of luck. After several attempts, the National Food Authority was finally able to pick up. The only institutions which immediately picked up our call were the police and emergency services.

At a first glance, public institution web pages seem to be of the highest standards and on par with the latest technologies, but the simplest form of communication – their phone number – is completely inaccessible in most cases, forcing citizens to physically knock on their doors for help.
