Fourteen Democrat MPs have submitted to the Assembly a formal request to remove Foreign Minister Olta Xhacka.
The motion filed on Monday calls from the parliament to follow up on in evaluating the termination of Socialist MP and at the same time Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
The motion also described that shortly after the adoption of the law on strategic investments, a firm called AG. TÇ, owned by Xhacka’s husband, was awarded the strategic investor status.
Consequently, the firm was given permission to build a 5-star hotel worth €5,5 million in Gjileke, in the municipality of Himara.
The firm also received permission to use the beach in front of the hotel site for 30 years, as well as VAT cuts.
