The number of new COVID cases has gone up significantly in the last 24 hours.

The ministry of health said that from the 805 tests conducted in total, 219 came back positive in the last 24 hours – the majority of whom were in Tirana (143), followed by Vlore, Fier, and Lezha.

There is currently a total of 829 active COVID-19 patients in the entire country.

9 patients have been hospitalized.

No deaths were registered in the last 24 hours in connection to the COVID-19 virus.
