A large wildfire has broken out in the village of Cerkovine in Vlore.

As a result, numerous olive groves and other fruit-bearing trees have been put at risk.

Firefighting squads have arrived at the scene where they are currently attempting to contain the flames.

According to police, the incident was reported by residents living close to the area where the fire initially broke out.
