Parliament has voted in favor of the resolution that condemns the genocide in Srebrenica with 113 votes in favor and 0 against.
The Srebrenica genocide – also known as the Bosnian Tragedy, took place in July 1995 in Bosnia Hercegovina where 8.000 civilians lost their lives, mainly young boys and men ages 12 – 77.
The genocide was carried out in the region of Srebrenica by the Serbian National Army, which was led at the time by general Ratko Mllacic.
The International Human Justice Courts of The Hague had officially recognized the Srebrenica massacre as an act of genocide.
