Vacationing in the Albanian riviera is getting more and more expensive by the year.

Hiked-up prices for products and services in bars and restaurants, as well as other services offered by private enterprises, are leaving visitors with a bitter taste of beautiful southwestern Albania.

All over social media, one can see posts and photos of receipts made by people who were shocked when receiving the bill, which according to them is now 4 to 5 times higher than the regular price.

Apparently, these prices have forced many to go back home earlier than anticipated.

Businesses in southern Albania have been denounced nearly every summer season, for allegedly abusing their prices but this year, the economic crisis can be felt even more due to inflation being well over 7%.
