Chairman of the Freedom Party (formerly known as SMI), Ilir Meta said today that very soon his party plans to start mass protests around the country.
In a press conference this Monday, Meta said that he will often be stationed in front of the parliament building, accompanied by the citizens who will join his protests, even though he is not himself a member of parliament.
“You shouldn’t be surprised if you see the chairman of the Freedom Party, constantly present in front of the parliament building, together with those citizens who feel unrepresented by a parliament that has been usurped by stolen votes.
The political force that was damaged the most, as a result, was the former SMI, which instead of having 12 seats in Parliament, now only has 4. And this political force will be out there on the squares, with the people. There, it will express its greatest power, not only through the voice of its MPs but with the voices of the people,” – said Meta.
The former president also noted that the date of the first protest will be announced within the next 24 hours.
