Freedom Party chairman, Ilir Meta said in a press conference that PM Edi Rama is carrying out a “chemical attack” on Shijak.

Along with Petrit Vasili and Edmond Panaritin, Meta denounced the burning of several tons of garbage in Shijak.

As citizens pay more taxes for cleaning, said Meta, they are being poisoned by the arrogance and irresponsibility of municipalities.

“To turn that wonderful area into a place of terror against the citizens to scare them from protesting about the garbage that they deposit and pile up like mountains in front of their homes and not to complain when they are openly and deliberately burned is very serious and unacceptable, even more so to lie after being caught in the act,” said Meta.
