Analyst Andi Bushati said that the prosecutor’s office cannot prevent journalists from publishing news that is in the public’s interest.

During Euronews Albania’s ‘SOT’, Bushati said that it is not a state secret, that the police allow the biggest bandits to move freely around the capital.

“It is not up to the state authorities, the judiciary, or the prosecution above all, to regulate the media. It is the media that decide; everything that can be considered a public interest must be shared with the public, despite the fact that from time to time it may seem as if it conflicts with the state’s reasoning or with the interests of the government.

What I am saying is valid even for much more flagrant cases than this present one. I don’t understand what the big secret is, when this is something that everyone is aware of. The biggest bandits of this country, the police know where they are and allow them to roam around freely in the capital,” argued Bushati.

Tirana’s District Prosecutor has made the decision to ban all journalists or news stations from publishing any details on the sensitive state data leaked by the Iranian hackers that led the cyber-attack against our country this September.
