The ambassador of the United States in Tirana, Yuri Kim, met this Friday with the head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta.

The news was announced by Meta himself through a post on social media, where he also published photos from the meeting in the office of the party he leads.

Meta also announced that during the meeting, the cooperation of the Freedom Party with the United States was discussed, in the interest of strategic partnership and priority reforms to accelerate the European integration of Albania and the Western Balkans in the EU.

“Today I welcomed the Ambassador of the United States of America, Mrs. Yuri Kim. It was a pleasure to openly and constructively discuss the cooperation of the Freedom Party with the United States, in the interest of strengthening and intensifying the strategic partnership between Albania and the USA, fulfilling our obligations as a NATO member state, as well as the priority to accelerate the reforms that further the integration of Albania and the Western Balkans into the EU”, wrote Meta on Facebook.
