Unpleasant personal situations, but also the increase in cases of harassment, and violence, specifically against women, have pushed Rudina Bulliq to take self-defense classes.
“Polite girls” is a course that is attended for learning self-defense techniques.
“As soon as the call was opened, there was no lack of interest,” said Valëza Sijarina, project assistant.
Coach Nuhi Gashi, who has trained the girls, sees such an initiative as a success. He believes that they are now ready to stand up for themselves in case they will need to.
Even Rudina herself now feels more secure.
The first group has completed the 2-month training, and the second group has now just started.
