At the meeting of the National Council, the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, called for citizens to stand up in protests, as according to him, “today’s dissatisfaction and hatred towards this government is more extraordinary than ever”.
In his speech, Berisha emphasized that people are ready to stand up, but according to him, all they require is mobilization.
The chief democrat emphasized that this will be the autumn of protests or rather, this autumn will be the spring of democracy.
“Albania is boiling, it’s at its boiling point today. Because today the dissatisfaction and hatred towards this government are more extraordinary than ever. Albanians have their eyes, mind, and faith on DP, on the Democrats. But they also wait with skepticism, in the sense that, do they feel the responsibility of the mission they have? Time has passed and time is also coming; the time for powerful and comprehensive protests. Every day that passes is a waste,” – said Berisha.
