The Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic, Jan Lipavsky, stated that efforts are being made to push forward the process of visa liberalization for Kosovo, but emphasized that an exact date cannot be pinpointed as of yet.

At the joint press conference in Prishtina with the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo Besnik Bislimi, the Czech diplomat said that they support Kosovo in the matters of rule of law and membership in international organizations such as NATO and the EU.

“Our message is clear, the citizens of Kosovo can count on Czech support in terms of the rule of law, but also their membership into international organizations, including the EU and NATO. I want to emphasize that the Western Balkans, including Kosovo, is among the regional priorities.

Our efforts are focused on making progress in the integration process, including visa liberalization. Work still needs to be done in these aspects, but we are on the right path and we hope that we will find political support for this process to come to an end”, underlined the minister.
