Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu said that Albanians who work in Germany illegally lead very difficult lives.
During his appearance on Euronews Albania’s NOW, Spahiu said that every Albanian who does not have a residence permit in Germany has great difficulty in finding an apartment since the rent in this country is among the most expensive in the world.
According to him, this has caused Albanians to live in apartments with 4 to 5 people in a single apartment, not as a family but as illegal immigrants.
“If there are those who think that Germany is all fun and games, they are wrong. Every Albanian who does not have a residence permit in Germany, does not have a house contract, 4-5 Albanians are forced to live in an apartment where the rents are among the highest in the world. You have to wait 2 years to find a house, and a 1-bedroom apartment with a kitchen is over 1,000 euros. And these are not families, they’re illegals. The streets of Berlin are filled with men, as they are illegal immigrants and have fled without their families”, said Spahiu.
