The Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi, has reacted regarding the annexation of four regions of Ukraine by Russia.

Through a post on his Facebook page, Peleshi described this as an illegal act while saying that Albania’s position is clear, alongside the US, the EU, and NATO.

“The annexation of 4 regions in Ukraine is illegal. Albania’s position is clear, just like that of the US, the European Union, NATO, and other democratic states.

We unequivocally oppose this unilateral action taken by Russia, which openly violates the basic rights of Ukraine for independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity”, says Peleshi.
