The Democratic Party has come up with concrete proposals regarding the new administrative division.

Experts from the opposition have presented the final report, where they request the addition of 33 municipalities, that is, 94 municipalities in total, from the 61 that are currently in place.

They have also asked for a division into 3 or 6 regions.

1-Adriatic Region (Shkodra, Lezha, Diber, Kukes)

2-Adriatic-Ionian region (Tirana, Durres, Elbasan)

3-Ionian region (Vlora, Korça, Fier, Berat, Gjirokaster)

Division into 6 regions

1-Shkoder-Lezha

2-Diber-Kukes

3-Tirana-Durres

4-Elbasan-Korce

5-Fier-Berat

6-Vlora-Gjirokastra
