The future prime minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, has sent a letter to the chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in which she thanks him for the congratulatory message after the election victory.

Meloni has stated that the closeness of the party she leads “Brothers of Italy” to Berisha’s Democratic Party is historic.

Among other things, Meloni has assured Berisha that he has the support of the future Italian government.

“My hope is that the victory of the “Brothers of Italy” and the center-right will not only be the most effective possible response to the needs of Italians, but a sign of hope and encouragement for all parties and conservative movements in Europe so that they never stop fighting for values our own in common.

In this sense, closeness to your party is historic, and for us very important, just as it is essential to strengthen the friendship between our peoples and support how well the European road of Albania. For this last point, I can only assure you maximum support from the future Italian government,” Meloni’s letter to Berisha reads.
