Professor Enver Bytyci stated that Prime Minister Edi Rama behaves like a servile in private bilateral talks with EU heads of state, but when he gives public speeches he has a different attitude, referring to his speech in Strasbourg.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, Bytyci argued that Rama’s speech in Strasbourg was arrogant towards the European Union.

“I am against attitudes that make you servile to the world. You have to ask for your right, but before you ask for them in a public audience, you have to ask for them in the process of bilateral talks. Mr. Rama does the opposite. In bilateral talks, he is an unprecedented servant, with Scholz, and Macron, when he is alone with them, he has a different attitude and approach.

There are extraordinary promises and perhaps this is the reason that the European leaders are not harshly opposing Mr. Rama for his public positions. Maybe they say, this is different, because he told us differently when we were having the talks”, he argued.
