There are over 30 buildings that were either built without permission or in violation of the permission to build additional floors.
Among them is “Eyes of Tirana” located in the west of ‘Skanderbeg’ square between the entrances of Durres and Kavaja streets.
The height of this tower can be seen more clearly from these images filmed with a drone by Euronews Albania. The Bank of Albania building and “Skanderbeg” square itself look inferior next to it.
The construction permit for this tower is 26 floors, but the permit has been violated with at least two floors, as much as the space confiscated by the state within the action against constructions and additions without permission.
Meanwhile, within the Great Ring of Tirana, Euronews Albania has identified over 300 construction sites. In some of them, the works are in their advanced stages, whereas in others the fencing has been done and the opening of the foundations has started.
