The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, met today with the CEO of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), Alice Albright.
Kosovo media reported that Osmani thanked Albright and MCC for their work and dedication to the successful launch of the Compact Program for the Republic of Kosovo.
According to Osmani, this project will put Kosovo on the map as an example for the entire region and beyond in terms of investments in the energy sector.
“She estimated that the investment in batteries will affect the facilitation of the energy transition and the faster integration of renewable energy sources in the energy system, while the raising of the capacities of the labor force, especially of women, will affect the creation of the necessary human resources for the successful implementation of innovative projects” – it is stated in the announcement issued by the presidency of Kosovo.
In the meeting, President Osmani also spoke about the steadfast friendship between Kosovo and the United States, emphasizing that the new program with the MCC will mark a new chapter that once again confirms the special relationship between the two our countries.
