The Democratic MP, Kreshnik Collaku, said in an interview for Euronews Albania that the unification of the Democratic Party to compete with a single candidate in the local elections is absolutely feasible.

“I see it as very possible because I actually see it as something very simple to accomplish. I believe that Bardhi and Paloka will be drinking a coffee normally, the issue is what they will decide, it is important that all parties play fairly in this process,” Collaku said.

Edi Paloka, from the group of Sali Berisha, and Gazmend Bardhi from the group of Enkelejd Alibeaj, are holding a meeting this Tuesday in one of Tirana’s bars.

In this meeting, local elections are being discussed and the goal is to come up with a common candidate.

According to Collak, the goal is to reach an agreement and the consequences of deepening the crisis in the Democratic Party so that Democrats aren’t the ones who suffer.
