The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, will visit Kosovo next week. KosovaPress sources inform that she will head to Prishtina on October 27.

However, Von der Leyen will also visit Serbia and other countries in the region. She has planned to visit Belgrade on October 29.

This visit comes after that of the emissary of the European Union for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, as well as the special envoy of the United States of America for our region, Gabriel Escobar.

This visit comes a few days before the expiration of the deadline for the registration of vehicles with Republic of Kosovo license plates of Serbian citizens who have them registered with illegal Serbian license plates.

Also, on October 28, the president of the European Commission will visit Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as Montenegro.

The exact agenda of Von der Leyen’s visit is expected to be announced in the coming days.

The last time, the president of the European Commission was in Kosovo on September 29 of last year.
