Prime Minister Edi Rama continued his official visit to Israel today. Rama met this Monday with Israeli President Isaac Herzog.
“I am very sure that tourists have a lot to see in Albania and will enjoy it a lot, while they will feel at home. Albania has been a second home for Jews’, said the president of Israel during the meeting.
After the president, Rama also met with the Speaker of the Israeli Parliament, Mickey Levy, as well as with the leader of the Israeli opposition, Benjamin Netanyahu.
On Sunday, the head of the Albanian government also met with the Prime Minister of Israel, Yar Lapid, and the Minister of Finance, Avigdor Liberman.
The leaders discussed increasing cooperation between the countries in a number of fields, as well as strengthening bilateral ties and overcoming common challenges faced by both countries, with an emphasis on the Iranian threat.
The visit comes a few weeks after Albania went through a cyber-attack by Iranian hackers that blocked almost all state systems for several days.
