During an interview for Euronews Albania, lawyer Adriatik Lapaj, stated that we must break the cycle of a lack of political competition in our country.

Lapaj said that Albania is in dire need of a law on referendums and changes to the current electoral law.

“We must without a doubt, break the cycle of the lack of competition, there is no other way. Albania needs a special law for referendums and the second amendment of the electoral law, opening up the field for competition and creating opportunities for the best candidates to approach political parties in order to generate hope, and by reviving hope, people will begin to see that there are definitely things that they can change” – said the lawyer.

He further emphasized that we can’t move forward with militancy.

“There is a lot of hope, but people must understand that militancy does not move forward. They must be militants of their everyday lives and not militants of the party that their grandfather left them with,” Lapaj underlined.
