The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, and the head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, have signed a cooperation agreement between the two political forces for the upcoming local elections.
At 12:00, they also held a joint press conference.
This Wednesday morning, Meta went to Berisha’s office and a meeting took place for more than 30 minutes.
After the meeting, Meta said that there will be a joint referendum and primaries with the Democratic Party.
Among other things, the former president announced that he has proposed a name to Berisha for the chairman of the Municipal Council of Tirana, for the upcoming local elections.
He underlined that Berisha welcomed his proposal, although he did not make his name public.
