At 3 a.m. on the last Sunday of October, the clocks go back 60 minutes in Albania.
Now we will sleep 1 hour more. Turning back the clock allows us to have more daylight in the morning, but it will get darker an hour sooner.
Thanks to smartphones, the clock changes automatically. In the meantime, you should not forget to adjust your wall clocks as well as your wristwatches.
The clock change in Europe was established as part of European law in 1981. This move was explained by the fact that it “lengthens” the day, increases productivity, improves people’s skills and the working day becomes more efficient.
In 2018 there were discussions about not changing the time at the European Parliament where it was left up to the governments of respective countries to decide whether or not they want to apply Daylight Savings Time or not.
