From November 21 to January 21, owners who still have cars with Serbian license plates in Kosovo will be fined 150 euros.
This is the latest decision of the government of Kosovo.
As a result, the journalist Lirim Mehmetaj said in an interview for Euronews Albania that when this measure starts to be implemented, the situation in the north may escalate.
“In the 3-week phase, no problem will occur. When the fine procedure starts, we’ve already witnessed past examples of civil disobedience and there can be an escalation of the situation. Even from Belgrade, there are calls for disobedience to these rules”, he said.
The journalist further underlined that Albin Kurti does not provide much information and therefore it is impossible to clarify in logical steps what he intends to do.
