Former Socialist MP Namik Dokle revealed, during an interview on Euronews Albania’s ‘NOW with Erla Mehilli’, what he would do if he were still in politics today.

Asked by journalist Erla Mehilli, he said that if he was in the parliament, he would study the laws, changes, and amendments and participate in committees.

“Meanwhile, now I don’t listen to the speeches of the parliament, but I read Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Juan Rulfon, Ismail Kadare, the poems of Dritero Agolli’ I read Murakami and so on, and I don’t listen to what he said or she said in Albanian politics,” – said Dokle.

The former MP also said that he only follows one news edition a day, just so he can stay up to date with what is happening in the country, and doesn’t immerse himself in political or economic analysis.

Dokle also noted that when he first withdrew from politics, a minister at the time, asked him for a suggestion and he replied by saying that his only suggestion was not to break the laws.
