The former MP of the Democratic Party, Rudina Hajdari said that the protest of November 12 was massive and there was a high turnout of the citizens of Tirana.
In an interview for Euronews Albania, Hajdari said that the people gave a clear message in the protest, where according to her, Prime Minister Edi Rama no longer enjoys his earlier popularity.
“We have seen the positive reaction that they were looking forward to November 12, I had the feeling that it would turn out even better than July 7, and it did. Tirana especially had a pretty large participation, which is very important. It is one of the most massive protests that the country has had in the last 20 years.
Even the way it was organized, peaceful, and dignified, this is a battle between Albanians and the club of billionaires led by Edi Rama. What is important, the message that the Albanian people gave to Edi Rama is clear, that he no longer enjoys the popularity he thinks he does with the Albanian citizens”, she emphasized.
On November 12, for about 3 hours, the Democratic Party and the Freedom Party held a joint protest in front of the Prime Minister’s Office.
There were 20 speakers at the protest, among them the chief democrat, Sali Berisha, and the head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta. Both leaders accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of depopulating the country, the current economic crisis, and corruption.
