For analyst Andi Bushati, the former chief democrat, Lulzim Basha, has organized larger protests than those organized by the chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, and the head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta.
During Euronews Albania’s “Now” Bushati addressed Meta, saying that in Basha’s protests, people were more motivated.
“For me, Lulzim Basha has held stronger protests. In what sense stronger? A motivated person, who throws a Molotov at the parliament building is different than a person who comes from work, takes a paid bus trip and returns home. So, a man who is ready to go to a physical confrontation with a power that is taking, stealing and robbing his vote, is more motivated. We did not see it in this protest,” Bushati emphasized.
On November 12, for about 3 hours, the Democratic Party and the Freedom Party held a protest in front of the Prime Minister’s Office.
There were 20 speakers at the protest, among them the chief democrat, Sali Berisha, and the head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta. Both leaders accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of depopulating the country, the dire economic situation and corruption.
