Defense Minister Niko Peleshi, from Korca, has commented on the tense situation in Kosovo.

Peleshi stated that there should be a dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo, while adding that it is the right of the latter to demand reciprocity.

According to him, only the path of dialogue will solve all the issues of our countries towards the destination that the Western Balkans has, which is integration into the Euro-Atlantic structures.

“My comment is what the Albanian government has made public, we are in favor of a solution through dialogue. Of course, Kosovo is within its right to demand reciprocity, Kosovo is an independent country, only the path of dialogue, that is the path that will solve all the issues of our countries towards the destination that the Western Balkans has, which is integration into the Euro-Atlantic structures. We are 3 of the 6 countries that have completed halfway, we are members of NATO but we are still in the process of EU integration. It is the aspiration of all 6.

Serbia has a different agenda from us in terms of NATO membership, but all other countries have the path toward NATO as their destination. It has been several years since the dialogue, which is an ongoing process and is not an appeal that belongs to the future. It is happening, it is good that all the achievements are kept and built on them” – emphasized Niko Peleshi.
