Ori Nebiaj has accepted the mandate which was relinquished by the former Democratic MP, Grida Duma a few days ago.
Sources for Euronews Albania inform that tomorrow, Nebiaj will submit the form to the Central Election Commission (CEC).
Grida Duma’s mandate will now be passed on to Ori Nebiaj, as she secured 5599 preferential votes in the parliamentary elections of 2021.
Nebiaj herself reacted after Duma’s decision to surrender her mandate, by saying that she needed time to decide if she would take on the responsibility given to her by those who voted for her in the last election.
On November 8, Grida Duma announced her resignation as a member of parliament and said that she will never forgive Albanian politics.
She said that the scum politics also tried to hurt her son. Alfred Rushaj also surrendered his mandate. He left due to personal commitments, while his mandate will be taken on by Petrit Doda.
